Our Approach to Sustainability

We believe sustainability in mannequins must balance aesthetics, performance, durability and responsibility. Rather than relying on a single solution, we focus on measurable improvements across materials, production and longevity.

One of the most significant steps in this journey is our development of BASALT mannequins, made from volcanic fibres and bio resin.

What is Basalt fibre?

Basalt fibres are derived from volcanic rock, a naturally occurring and renewable resource of which there is a sustainable and plentiful global supply. The fibres are made purely from the single raw material, effectively forming a thread of stone.

Compared to traditional fibreglass production, basalt fibre manufacturing:

Is chemical-free
Requires less energy
Results in a lower carbon footprint

To further reduce environmental impact, the standard resin used in production is replaced with a bio-resin derived from corn.

They can be melted down to create new fibres of the same quality or crushed and reused as aggregate in concrete or asphalt. End-of-life considerations: If a basalt mannequin were to end up in landfill, the bio-resin can biodegrade while the remaining basalt material does not disrupt surrounding ecosystems.
